My loans are government loans from Saillie Mae. I owe them under $5000.
I heard about this company that will take over your school loans from them but I don't know the name of the company.
I am at the point where I can't get a federal student loan until I pay this off.

If you have the option, look for a co-signer. That way you won't get hosed on the interest. You might have better luck trying to save money on your phone, cable, or electric bill and then putting some of that saved money into paying off the loans early. Also look for a better insurance rate – I changed companies about 2 years ago and saved about $300 a year and got better coverage.
