Since starting this home business program, I have realized how powerful it is. There is a wealth of information and I feel compelled to let everyone know about it.
After spending three years trying to find a successful home business without any luck and being scammed several times, I lost thousands of dollars. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel, my persistence finally paid off when I discovered this successful work at home program. It is the only internet program to receive a 5 Star rating by Mark Hodges, an Internet Watch Dog.
After discovering this program, I had to find a way to let everyone know about it. I thought a personal experience would make others feel confident in signing up for this home business program.
I started a blog about my new home business to give everyone an opportunity to follow my progress and receive comments and information as I was learning. In the blog, I explain everything that is offered in this incredible program.
Some of the categories included in the blog are:
- Initial Sign Up
- Great Learning Tools
- Making Progress
- Persistence
- Home Business Mentoring
Writing a blog has given me a way to tell others about my personal experience of setting up a new home business. I encourage others to do this as it is a good way to let everyone know about positive experiences they are having. It also gives others hope that there are programs out there that really work and give you a chance to start your own home business.

You want a raise. Whether your performance review is around the corner or you've taken on new responsibilities over the past few months, chances are the thought of asking for a raise makes you nervous. "Even the strongest person becomes mush when the topic turns to raises," says Sharon Koss, a principal with Seattle-based human resources and compensation consulting firm Koss Management Consulting. "Just remember that your boss will also be uncomfortable talking about it with you."
Planning is the key to effectively asking for a raise. Long before you even head to the negotiation table, you should be laying the groundwork for a bigger paycheck.
Leverage Your Skills: "You could be the organization's PowerPoint guru or possess some skill that everyone comes to you for help with," Koss says.
Increase Your Visibility: Volunteer for projects or committees outside of your scope of work, she says. "What you are effectively doing is running a marketing campaign for yourself. You want to make sure you've got visibility with people other than your boss."
Keep an Accomplishment Log: Keep complimentary letters from customers or managers, note extra projects you take on, when you stay late at the office, classes you take, new skills you've acquired and any other positive accomplishments you achieve.
Go for Gold
A performance review is a good opportunity to see if you're on a scheduled raise system. Any time you've taken on new roles but the company never coughed up extra compensation can be an icebreaker. Set up a private meeting with your boss to approach the topic.
Your job is to sell your boss on your achievements. To help you do this, take your achievement log and write out a script before the meeting. "A script will help you feel comfortable that you can objectively prove your worth to the organization," Koss says.
However, companies often have policies that dictate specific raises at certain times. "If a company's policy is to give annual raises, it's hard to get an exception to the rule," says Koss. "Usually decisions come from senior management, and your boss won't have any latitude to go outside the company's policy."
Less Than Desirable
If you do get a raise but it's much lower than what you expected, take a step back and wait a couple of days to gain objectivity. "The average person usually can't step aside from his or her emotions," says Koss. "Also, your manager may go on the defensive if you ask for a larger raise during your review."
Approach your boss after the review and ask for a follow-up meeting. Consider these tips:
Have an Amount in Mind: "If your manager asks you what raise you have in mind, you don't want to gasp and go blank," Koss says.
Be Reasonable: "If you were offered a 3 percent raise, you can't ask for 7 percent — it just won't happen," she says.
Use an "I" Message: "If you got a 3 percent raise but want a 5 percent raise, say, 'I've accomplished XYZ, I possess XYZ skills, I put in extra time at the office and I'm a bit disappointed with the raise,'" says Koss. "Be sure to use an 'I' message rather than a 'you' message. It sounds less accusatory."
Don't Threaten to Leave: Threats work against you, because they can put you on the slow track for in-house career opportunities. "It also may put you on top of the layoff list," warns Koss.
Be Professional: Don't tell your boss that you heard another coworker received a higher raise than you. "Talking about what someone else received really tends to turn a boss off," Koss says.
If You Still Get Turned Down? "I'd nicely ask why," Koss suggests. "You deserve an explanation."
Ask for a Follow-Up: If the reason is financial on the company's end, ask your boss to touch base in six months. "But if you didn't get a higher raise because of your attendance or lack of skills, ask your boss if he'll reconsider things in six months, after you've improved in those areas," says Koss.
lol cmon buy some…..plz!
I think you made the wrong decision. Why should your life be so miserable. Your only have this one live to live, it is not a dress rehearsal, this is it. If you do what other people want you to do, you are living their life not yours.
You need a life of your own where you can make a difference and are appreciated. Why didn't you go to college? Apparently you are smart enough to go then you would have been qualified for any job you wanted.
Don't let your parents or other family members hold you back. They have lived their youth and are living the life they wanted. It's time for you now to live your youth for it will be gone before you know it an you would have lived other peoples lives, not your own. What a sham, what a waste of a good mind.
Blessings!

I'm not a parent, but a senior in High School. I found the Speech very pointless and some parts has already been said. His speech definitely not for elementary School but Middle School and above..actually more likely for High School, I mean I barely know what I wants to do and his speech kind of insulted me that i should of made up my goals and stick to it…I'm sorry to disappoint you Obama but I'm a failure. Obama think that everyone is like him, started from being poor and work his way up because he has goals, what he doesn't realize is some people can't be like him, especially my co-workers who are immigrants barely know how to speak English and they're like 18-20 years-old can't really study because their English is limited and of course financial problems too so working and study at the same time is not gona go anywhere. From what i understand in his speech was hes trying to say "there are no place for losers, but only winners", so no education means no job?, I wish i can just be like "hey dude its just a simple speech on education just like every other presidents did", I just can't when hes basically said "winners is everything", that's not wat America is about, America is about doing wat u want and B wat u like, and "trying" is the key word.
Hi,
You haven't said what country you are in, but if you are in the US, you should be receiving a W-2 and they should be paying your FICA (social security tax) so you can start to get credit for your 40 quarters. If they haven't, then you have pretty good leverage for seeking a lawyer, you probably don't need to resort to that, but you may desire that path. If you don't have the W2 relationship, then you aren't officially legally hired as their employee. There is an exception, do you receive a 1099 each year (are you hired as a contractor)? If you are a contractor then its a different story and you would be expected to pay the FICA and self employment tax yourself and would be expected to negotiate your raises yourself.
Again assuming the US:
If you are on the w2 relationship it should be fairly easy to talk them into giving you a raise.
If you have neither the contractor nor the W2 relationship, then they have hired you illegally and you have a lot of leverage you can pull. Get documentation (make copies) of evidence you have that shows you have been working for them from the beginning until now. Get things that show they have been paying you for service to their family. The intent is to show they failed to pay their taxes to the government. You should be able to pretty much ask for that raise. However I would get your parents involved first and/or seek legal representation in case they try to fire you.
It probably started out as something casual, but its obviously gotten more professional. And I imagine the children are very much attached to you. You don't want to hurt the children and I doubt they want to either.
Chances are you won't need a lawyer. Chances are if you just go and talk to them they will give you a raise, but its time you got your duties in writing and work out a plan where you get benefits and a structure with raise potential.
An advantage to working legally is you will have a legal defense. currently since you are "under the table", they can get away with underpaying you and you don't have a lot of say in the matter. Additionally if you were getting a W2, the sooner you had 40 quarters, the sooner you would be legally able to receive full SSI benefits should you become disabled or unable to work. Currently you have no such benefits. it might not seem like much now, but every little bit helps.
i made 20 bucks at a lemonade stand..
A case study is just a big SWOT analysis. Those questions that you are supposed to respond to are just overly lengthy descriptions of SWOT analysis, which stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. The Strengths and Weaknesses are the internal components, which means they are within the company and should be under the company's control. Opportunities and Threats are the external components which the company must recognize so that they can exploit the opportunities and minimize the effects of the threats (relating to the marketplace, industry, economy, laws and other such "external" factors).
Whenever you do a case study you're first thought should be SWOT analysis – make a page for each letter and start listing out the items that fit each category for that company. Strengths should always be core competencies (things the company does well that most other companies have trouble doing) and the competitive advantage (something unique to the company that no other company can do or has). These can be based on people, procedure or products.
Once you have your SWOT outlined, go back and find proof to substantiate your claims that those really are strengths, weaknesses, etc. Once you have that outlined and everything clearly defined and explained then add your input and recommendations for the company. Bring in what the company already has and what the company could easily obtain in your recommendations. Also try to add one thing that is very creative as a solution/recommendation that those in the company may not be aware of because of their limited focus. For example, Dove (the body lotion company) could have been so focused on making beauty products that they could have spent money on improving their formula, but they launched an ad campaign to promote self-esteem and set their products apart as being used for hygienic reason instead of beauty reasons. This was an opportunity that most lotion companies would not see.
This technique can be used for all case studies. Good luck.
Jesus died for you. You can start a new life in Christ.
If you are not saved you can be saved.
here is a scripture about what Jesus did for you and me.
John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)
16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
It is time for you to make a decision for your life and your gf.
Take a chance on Jesus, and you will never be the same again.
He takes your old life and makes it brand new.
So all you need to do is this.
Reach out to Jesus because not only did He die for your sins, He loved you before you were even born.
He knew you in your Mothers womb.
He wants to change things for you.
So pray this prayer out loud and mean it.
Make a conscious effort to speak these words from the very depths of your being. When you finish this prayer, you will be born again:
Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I present myself to You.
I pray and ask Jesus to be Lord over my life. I believe it in my heart, so I say it with my mouth: “Jesus has been raised from the dead.” This moment, I make Him the Lord over my life.
Jesus, come into my heart. I believe this moment that I am saved, I say it now: “I am reborn. I am a Christian. I am a child of Almighty God.”
Now, thank God for making you His child. Colossians 1:12 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” You have just been made a partaker of an inheritance from God. You have just inherited the kingdom of God!
Start by registering your business with your local county. The rules vary with states, so check what is required of you — in California, for example you will need to get a business license for all businesses that operate while in Virginia, you don't need a license for an online business
Pay your taxes — Make sure you keep all your receipts, including travel to attend trade shows. If you are sole proprietorship, do the Schedule C Profit and Loss.
Since this is a home-based business, make sure you've got dedicated space to run your business so you can deduct portion of your rent and utilities for the running of your business. Start reading IRS publication Business Use of Home http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p587.pdf
Track your conversions very carefully. Get a copy of the Internet Retailer magazine http://www.internetretailer.com so you can better understand how to sell on the web, including marketing, increasing conversions. Sign up for Google Analytics and use their Ecommerce section so you can do an analysis of your sales process
Business Loan – talk with your bank. They might be able to help you since you're an existing client with them. Or make an appointment with your local SBDC Small Business Development Center http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbdc/index.html and ask them to help you package your loan application and refer you to banks or financial institutions who may be receptive to your business and your situation.
I am good at resumes from a couple of decades of practice. Understand that your resume is the device that is intended to get you the interview. I recommend the following and we can correspond more at cadelarge@yahoo.com if you like.
1. Organize your resume around transferable and relevant skills first, then around work history on a subsequent page as employers are buying your skills not your work chronology.
2. Group your bullets by transferable skill as listed in the job description of the position you are applying for. Employers are interested in matches to the job description more than they are in your work chronology or irrelevant skill sets. Also, use words that the employer uses in the job description as most resume selections are done via keywords in company resume databases and internet job boards these days and they are likely to use their own words when they search.
3. Reference all relevant examples of relevant skills and experience whether from paid or unpaid work, i.e., management of your home and family, church and other volunteer or community work. If you exercised the skill and got a good result reference it.
4. Decribe the results your experience yielded, i.e., money and time made or saved, process improved, relationships built or retained. Untilmately, employers are buying people who can get results, where they results were achieved is secondary.
5. Prepare appendices to your resume which allow the employer to more easily access the information they need that shows you are qualified. I have an appendix of all the brands and categories I have done marketing in so that employers can quickly see this information. I only use it when going for marketing positions.
There you have it. I have used these tips faithfully for years and get constant complements, interviews and offers based on my resume.
Good luck and do not hesitate to contact me if you need further help.
