Anything you deposit is going to be counted as January 2. Banks are closed today. Even if you use the ATM, it still will show on your account as January 2. The ATM will count that amount as your part of your full balance, however it will not be available because the deposit, will still have to clear. If you use funds in your account that are not considered available, you run the risk of overdrafting your account. Same thing with the night drop. The bank will not get them or post them until January 2 and they will also have to clear.
As long as the payday places in your area are open today, and you qualify for a loan, they can get you the check today, and possibly even cash, but there is no way of getting it into you account today!

MR Solis is absolutely wrong. They can't arrest people who incur normal payday (or any other type) loans. They can just harass you until you pay.

However, she doesn't have a 'normal' payday loan. instead, she engaged in fraud, forgery, and misrepresentation, and did it multiple times.

She is seriously at risk of being charged with fraud and sent to jail. She needs a lawyer, and FAST.

Was it over the internet? If so, that was a mistake. In fact, it was a mistake to get a payday loan anyway.

I would keep trying the fax number. I would also consider finding a lawyer to help you on this. That $500 can balloon up to a gigantic size with all of the fees that these shady outfits like to charge. There is a reason why they are outlawed in 12 states.

In fact, what state does she live in? If she is in Arkansas (though the legality is being contested in the courts); Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia, then she should contact the state's attorney general. In fact, that may not be a bad idea even if the payday loan is legal in your state.

No. I tried them all. They all ask for your information, then don't give you the service you asked for, and subscrice you to something you didn't see at the time you filled out the application. You end up worse off. Clark Howard (News Radio Talkshow in Atlanta about money) hates them and warns frequently against them. He scolded me when I called into the radio show about them. The best thing you can do is sell something on Ebay. Surely there's a few things you don't use anymore and people are willing to pay for just about anything these days. That's what I started doing.
